You can certainly create a *nix account manually. cPanel won't mind, just use useradd

Default How to set up an account w/o domain

I want to set up an account on my server w/o an associated domain so the user can have home directory, shell account. Is that possible? Or alternatively, I can set up an account as root using shell command and create a home directory for the account, the problem is whether that confuse cpanel and causes any trouble.

    Thank you in advance.
