Default How to set up cronjob for daily backups

    Hi,

I have not yet tried setting up a cron job. I understand that it is a function that can call a script at certain times. I would like to set up a cron job for scripts to run in the night as (US) as all my customers are in the US and I have noted that it is running at the exact time where the server is most busy.

How do I set up a cron job for the backups in WHM - is it something that is done via SSH or how can it be done? Should I disable backups through WHM and then call a script in the script folder? Any help is gratefully received.

    Thanks
    John

You can change the time by editing this file:
    /var/spool/cron/root

Just change the time when /scripts/upcp is done. That's when backups are done.
