Default How to specify nameservers when you have two servers for one site. Any ideas?

Hi

Does anyone know how to setup or specify nameservers for a single domain when you have two servers with identical content - one server is to act as a back-up incase the other goes down.

Do you use:

(1) ns1.server1.com
(2) ns2.server1.com
(3) ns1.server2.com
(4) ns2.server2.com

or

(1) ns1.server1.com
(2) ns1.server2.com
(3) ns2.server1.com
(4) ns2.server2.com

Any help appreciated!
Thanks

I'm thinking that it looks better because:

listing them by site/domain first makes more sense(local nameservers queried first, then backups)
you may have more or less than two per site, listing them by site makes the list less ragged in that case
nameservers not belonging to you shouldn't be put at the top of the list, so listing them #2 out of 4 isn't that good an idea, should you have a trade with another provider for nameservers
