How to view log or history of our server?

Our server crashed and we had to do a reboot on it but we have no idea what caused the crash.. Is there a way to view the log or a history of what happened to pinpoint the problem ?

Yes,

You can cehck /var/log/messages. This will show you when and why the server get rebooted. Also check if the audit service is running on your server. If the audit service is running then stop that service because the audit service cause the server reboot many times.
