HTTP 404 errors

Another question. I use one IP to access WHM on port 2086. Does this IP automatically access the contents of

/var/www/html ?

The funny thing was, when I typed in

http://mydefaultwhmIP

I get the apache welcome page. I know there are other subdiretories like /mrtg but whenever I hit this in my browser:

http://mydefaultwhmIP/mrtg

It returns a 404 error. In fact accessing practically every subdirectory in /var/www/html throws a 404 (except of manual). Does anyone know what's going on here. Is this a permissions thing or is WHM configured in a way that disallows browsing on the default IP?

Hi,
you can do this with Aliases in the httpd.conf file.
At the top of the file you can find some other Aliases, just copy one line and adjust it to mrtg...

I discovered that by default, the html docs for the main website hosted on cpanel is at
/usr/local/apache/htdocs

and not /var/www/html
