How about some basic config error tests.. like
/etc/init.d/httpd configtest
This may show what is causing apache to barf.
You can also just install apache www.apache.org and php seperately www.php.net
If you rely on cpanel to install everything for you in your environment, where they only really have certain control over, without doing any work yourself, then you need to re-think, contract an admin, upskill yourself or as suggested, contact cpanel support and wait for an answer.
Resolving an apache compile error is a pretty basic skill that anyone hosting clients on a server needs.
I agree, those that don't like cpanel and are trolling the forums atm, go use ensim or something else and quit whining, you are getting boring.![]()
This week weather is great was 70 today but last week was terrible got about 5 inches of snow and ice
Pearcy ? or Searcy ?
Cool, actually Pearcy west of Hot Springs.

Wtf? chr, are you high or something, i reccomend you stop taking those drugs and look at what your saying and revise your facts. I submit around 1 or two tickets a year to cpanel support if the problem is soo bad it cannot be fixed by me. Their support is very good, usually gets responded to within 24 hours, considering the amount of tickets they must receive. Chr, if you think a solution to a problem is to reinstall the software youre so ****************ed up in the head. I only consider that an option if its a LAST Resort. btw. easyapache is working fine for me so it must be something at your end (it gets the files from http://layer1.cpanel.net/buildapache/1/).

Brent
look ****************head brent123,
if this is LAST resort for u,
and 24 hours response is ok for u having 2-3 users, fine
but while i have 100+ domains, 24 hours reply with apache down,
is the worst nightmare cpanel can give me...
so shut the **************** up and stop telling me that they do support us well...
support for such issues should be immedite, and they should have live
chat support so we could contact them...
Also, if you think about this, 12 licences are enough to pay an extra support agent to be live 24/7 for live chat..
but i think those guys, just want to rip up off...
First off, unless you recieved your license(s) directly from cPanel your NOC is responsible for support not cPanel.
Secondly, get a decent administrator and you would not be having such problems. Since there are thousands using the product I would suspect it your server or admins that are the primary issue.
And thirdly, as said before, not happy go somewhere else, no one is forcing you to use a product you obviously are not happy with. (Unless your the type that constantly prefers to whine and complain and blame others all of the time.)

i wish arin would make it mandatory that before anyone can be issued a ip address they have to pass basic system administration
I would like to see how most of these whinners would handle things before there was a cheap control panel system. And yes cpanel is a cheap/inexpensive solution compared to what was available in the mid 90's. Either you custom coded a solution or you did everything by hand.
Cpanel works remarkably well considering all the different functions it does and considering its available across so many different hardware configurations and OS platforms
Like was said before if you are having major problem with cpanel software then you should look at who you have administrating your servers for the problem. Every so often cpanel will have a major bug but not that often, most opf the bugs are minor issues that a good system admin can correct or work around in 5 min or less
