    Default httpd processes as nobody

It is my understanding that web processes from websites are supposed to run under the admin user (for tracking and security reasons)

However they are all shwoing up as nobody and it isnt the control panel that is being accessed.

If this is the nomal behavior ... wouldnt it be better to run it this way? How can one have it run this way?

    Thank you

The httpd children will always run as nobody. However, spawned scripts (through suexec or phpsuexec) will run under the virtualhost owner if suexec/phpsuexec is enabled, otherwise they too will run as nobody. The main parent httpd process will always run as root.

I suppose in order to achive what I want it would probably take multiple instances of Apache eh? Becuase I deally thatwould be a great way to track usage live... You could grep a the processes with a username
