Twice in the past few months, I've had httpd fail to restart because of junk in httpd.conf. Today I terminated an account. A few hours later I installed an SSL for another site and httpd didn't restart with an unknown account listed in httpd.conf.
I'm not sure what the 'proper' way to fix that issue was, when the server is down, I use the direct approach and just fix the problem, but I'm somewhat disturbed that a terminated account would linger around on httpd.conf. It seems to be that the prior issue was also a terminated account.
Is anyone else seeing these issues? Is it something I did/didn't do?
Also, is there a way to rebuild httpd.conf in an emergency? I'll add it to my notes.
