Question I can't create RSA key for SSH, only DSA?

In the SSH keys manager I am given the option to create either a DSA or RSA key but the RSA key creation never goes through. I mean, nothing happens and there is no key added to the SSH key manager. No error message either.

Any ideas what could be the reason? I'd really prefer RSA...

Did you look and see if it was making the key? Maybe it is there.
Look in /usr/share/ssl/private/

Nope, it's not there. There are just some 2 years old files in that directory.

It was just a thought..... Only other thing I could suggest is do a /scripts/upcp --force and try again.

GCIS is on a distinguished road
From a root shell:
Code:
# ssh-keygen -t rsa [other options]

Thanks, that worked!

The SSH key manager in WHM is somewhat buggy in my opinion. For example the authenticating/de-authenticating keys through it seems to be quite unreliable - the current status of the key is very often not displayed properly. And I am not sure if it's a good idea to create the Putty formatted .ppk private key with "read by others" permission.
