I have a script I want to make installable via cpAddon system. How does it all work?

OK, this is a pretty basic request.

Let's say I am a software developer (which I am), and have a script that I'd like to be "installable" from the cpAddon system (which I do).



Basically, I want to allow cpanel users to easily install my application.

Where do I start? What do I do? Is there some kind of instruction for how it all works?

How do clients get the cpAddon that I end up with? Do I give it to cpanel, and then they include it with the cpanel updates? Or is there a central repository of cpAddon scripts the user can browse through and pick the script (mine!) they want to install/update?

I'm really confused as to how the cpAddon system works.
