Default I need help with the email Return-Path my servers

set on email. I and several of my hosting clients run a list mailing CGI script that allows you to set a pipe to a bounce removal script. The problem is, when a bounce comes back to the sender, it is readdressed to the username@servername.com instead of the email address set in the script.

I think this is probably not that hard to fix, since I know this script runs fine on other servers, but I can't see where to start, as I'm a relative server newbie. Can someone advise?

    Hello,

You can set up a forwarder in the /etc/valiases/servername file as follows.

username@servername: <account to which bounce message needs to be delivered>

    Hope this helps. :-)

Default Well, this works until the alias disappears, which

Seems to happen daily. Any more suggestions? I have about 20 mailing scripts on my servers that won't delete bounced emails if I don't find a fix for this. The entire servernamed file vanishes.

Default Still having trouble with this

Isn't there a real and permanent fix for this? It seems like it wouldn't be hard, but I haven't learned enough yet to figure it out. I assume the problem is caused by what is set in the outgoing email headers? Or would it require an exim edit? Does everyone have their default email bounces go to the server instead of the sending domain? Can anyone help me?

    Hi anand,

Is there an un-installer for this in case I find out things are not going as planned?
