Iconic Theme?

Hello,

Did last night\'s update screw with the themes? I can no longer use the iconic theme. All clients are getting a 404 not found error. The default works fine however. I also now have like 20 aletia themes, a bunch of burst themes, and a bunch of hostnoc themes. Also a \"beth\"....

What\'s the deal? I\'ve tried to upcp, but that doesn\'t fix the problems either.......

Hmmm.
You mean the iconic theme for the people that were ICONIC to begin with, right? The people that have \"iconic\" setup as their default theme within their user preference in /var/cpanel/users ? We never use that one, but I think a few of our dedicateds do, I will ask around....

As far as I know the only change was the iconic/default theme choice when anybody logs in with the default theme.

Yes, some servers that updated last night, for some reason, didn\'t update correctly.

To fix this temporarily go to:

cd /usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/

then remove the newly created symlink:

rm -f iconic

Then rename the backup:

mv iconic.old iconic

That should take care of it for now. You might want to disable cpanel from updating until your sure this will work correctly. Do this by removing the crontab entry for /scripts/upcp

The reason this happened is because the default directory didn\'t get updated like some other servers. If the default theme had been updated correctly, then users should have had the choice to use the default or iconic theme, as mentioned by feanor.

I think I\'ll just leave the updater as it is, and hope it doesn\'t break itself again...

The rsync server on ftp.cpanel.net died last night.

Just run

/usr/local/cpanel/install/rsync to get everything up to date manually.
