    Default Ignoring bad line in /var/cpanel/cpanel.config: ""

    My server was upgraded to R57 and since then we are seeing

    Ignoring bad line in /var/cpanel/cpanel.config: ""

    Our users are seeing this error at the top of the control panel, we see it during upcp etc etc.

    I looked at the file and it looks fine.

    Thanks, that solved the problem. Somehow last night's update added a blank line to the bottom of my cpanel.config file.

    This also occurrs with the wwwacct.conf file. An easy fix for that is to click "Basic cPanel/WHM Setup". Then scroll the bottom and save. This will re-validate and re-save the wwwacct.conf file properly.

    Specific to my problem, our wwwacct.conf had "BINDVER 9" and the new cPanel didn't like that line.

    Rgarding the OP, you also need to remove this line:

    #config ---------------------------------------=

    Basically, any line that isn't in the format:

    name=value

    causes problems in the latest releases.
