Cries, of Aargh. Then the user tries Squirrelmail or Horde instead and subscribes their IMAP folders and realises what a lod of crap Neomail is. Then they'll curse you when they cannot access their addressbook from Neomail

Or, like all of our users, then didn't notice anything.

We're working on a tool to inject the neomail addressbook entries into the Horde (and most likely Squirrelmail) address book. I'll post back here with instructions once it's done (will later become available in the cPanel interface).

Is there no solution to bring Neomail back? My customer love neomail, it's clean and easy to use. I did hear, that there is another version of Neomail, which would work with maildir. Could this be an option?

I'm still having an issue with this - I converted a server over to maildir, and am using courier ok. However, after a while I am unable to open any further email when connecting via IMAP with thunderbird.

I restart the imap server, and am immediately able to connect and view the mail. It seems like courier is failing somehow?

    Anyone else experiencing this?

    Try this :

    1) /scripts/upcp -- force
    2) Login at Squirrelmail and under the folders ensure that the respective folders are susbcribed.

Default worked but just not on my own account!!

    Hi,

It all screwed up - and then I managed to get it fixed with some help from my DC.

However, on my account all I get when logging into Squirrelmail is:

ERROR : Could not complete request.
    Query: COPY 756 "Root"
Reason Given: Error in IMAP command received by server.

And thats it .. though I can log into imap from Opera and attach to the Inbox only...?!

Anyone have a pointer regarding this?

It appeared that there were too many concurrent IMAP connections, and courier didn't like it. I edited in thunderbird the number of server connections down to 3 and it didn't have any more issues with this.

However, there is an issue that I can see with SMTP over SSL.

    Thunderbird says this when emailing:

"You have recieved an invalid certificate. Please contact the server administrator or email correspondent and give them the following information:

Your certificate contains the same serial number as another certificate issued by the certificate authority. Please get a new certificate containing a unique serial number".

This can be worked around, of course, by turning ssl over smtp off. I expect we could generate and install a cert in courier to get around this as well, and I'll investigate that next. Cpanel will likely fix this by installing the webmail/whm/cpanel ssl cert for this - I tried to regenerate that cert from within WHM and it didn't make any difference.

I have ran into the cert problem before the conversion. It he exim cert that is the problem when sending. You can find that cert at /etc/exim.crt and /etc/exim.key. If you generate a new self signed cert for your hostname you can past the crt and key in those files and the problem should go away, assuming that it is the same issue that I have seen before.

Our clients are having "once in a while" trouble connecting to mailserver after conversion. It looks like it doesnt allow too many connections same time - how can I change this?

Nothing to do with Courier, easiest way around is just to delete the certificate in Thunderbird.
Tools >> Advanced >> manage certificates >> websites
delete this certificate, next time you connect you'll be asked to accpet the new one - no more problems.

Is there a way I can e-mail every single e-mail account hosted on the server to tell them to subscribe?

    Thanks

This is it. Thanks! Looks like this is the last of the bugs insofar as I can see with my testing

You can reach all users who has set their contact email in cpanel by going to WHM and under user/accounts find link "email all users".
