    Default IMPORTANT, Curl and PHP!

    Hello friends,

I have an urgent problem now. We installed PHP 4.3.3 with buildapache and GD2 library. We had working Curl before, but now it isn't. I am not a very professional in server technics, but I know basic commands of Linux and I can install something if needed. But I think that since we have now new PHP, we have to recompile PHP with Curl. Curl is installed, but I dont know the commands how to compile it I tried PHP manual, but it was not very clear to me. Maybe someone can kindly help me out and give me the exact commands that I must use with this problem, a client is complaining and I have to help him out ASAP!

    Thank you so much!!

This should work just fine via easyapache. Select option 6 and go into the PHP settings and make sure curl and curl-ssl are selected.

You mean that I should change something in php.ini ? Yep, I installed with 6th option, but Curl is not working. I will check the PHP.ini.

    no need to modify php.ini.

to make sure your compilation is going fine, move the /usr/local/apache/libexec/libphp4.so to some other place and use easyapache to recompile php.

after completion, check if libphp4.so has been regenerated there.

Maybe i'm doing something wrong, or i'm just stupid, but when i recompile apache with curl, it still is not in my PHP.ini file.

    Weird...

lool for --with-curl in phpinfo() - if it is there, then it is okay.
