Default increasing max file size upload php

Can someone direct me to the required procedure to increase the maximum file size and timeout for the php upload. I believe it is set and a tiny 2mb at the moment and I would like to increase this to say 20mb or so. Someone told me that it was a setting in my http.conf file but i wasnt sure if that was the case and if that worked for cpanel?

    Edit: /usr/local/lib/php.ini
    Search for: upload
Change the variable as you see fit.

The timeout variables are set in the apache config file.

    hi there

neomail would not allow to upload attachments bigger then 2 MB. We changed it in php.ini , phptest say it is now 50MB (I know it is to much :-) but neomail still says that it has problems with attachments bigger then 2 MB!
Any clue ? all services restarted even the machine.

Well I would guess that neomail or what ever limits it in its own way - edit it, read threw its files and I be there is an if($UPLOAD['file'] > 2000 bytes) sort of setup in it, may take some time did you try google? google is your friend
