    Default Incremental backup

    Hello

i am using normal backup of Whm that tar all the files evry day, now i would move to a incremental backup so my server will be less busy, i have see that incremental backup dont compress all the site in tar.gz but it will make a directory with all the directory structure, so if i need to restore a site from a backup how can i do without the tar.gz file?

Incremental backup will make also a weekly backup?

You could tar.gz the folder yourself naming the tar.gz after your username for that account ( same as foldername ). You should be able to restore the account however without compression on regular cpanel servers.

You can select however often you want the backups to take place just as you can with the compression enabled.

You could also make a shell script to do this for you, essentially just like using terminal, just packed into a script to do it when you run it :-)
