Installation Error

Last night I started installing WHM with ssh. The installation keep on going forever...the dots carrying on moving...so this morning after it apparently had been installing for 14 hours I gave up with it disconnected my SecureCRT client and they re-connected again to try to install again.

But I am now getting this error:

Your operating system's rpm update method (yum) was not able to locate the glibc package. This is an indication of an improper setup. You must correct this error before you can proceed.

Can anyone tell me what could have caused the installation to not work and what that error means now? What can I do to get WHM installed?

I am running CentOS4.

Make sure that you have the CentOS yum key installed:

http://www.centos.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=30

Then try:

yum install glibc glibc-devel

Make sure it runs through without error. If there are no errors, kill off the running install and start again.
