    Default Installation problem!

    Hi,

I got a problem here, please help.

I installed cpanel on a fresh installation of centos 5.
    turned off firewalls.
when typing the IP address in the browser I can see the cpanel/whm welcome page.
    Great Success !
Apache is working on your cPanel® and WHM™ Server

but when typing the port number to login for the first time to whm, it says:

    Unable to connect

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at IP ADDRESS:2086.

    * The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.

    * If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.

    * If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
Note: I have my server right beside me connected to net with a dedicated IP address.

    Please advise

Have a check on your local desktop firewall settings, it may be blocking access to the server at IP ADDRESS:2086

Please make sure that the port address 2086 is not blocked in your local machine firewall or by your ISP. Kindly try to disable the firewall from your local machine where you are getting the error and have a try.

Is your server behind a router using port-forwarding and or NAT?

Does your server network interface bind directly to a public (WAN) IP address or does it bind to an internal (LAN) IP address?

You may locate network interface and IP address information using the following command via root SSH access:
    Code:
    # ifconfig
