    Default Installation problem

I am installing Cpanel on Fedora 2.

    1) Clean reinstall of Fedeor 2 on 386 computer -- All default settings other than "Text mode" and "No firewall - SInce I assume cpanel will want to do it". I also configured the partitions as outlined in Cpanel Instructions.

    2) When I tried to run "sh latest" to install cpanel, I got the following error:

"You must update your /etc/yum.conf" from one of the fedora 2 core mirrors.

Any ideas what the issue is and how to fix it.

    Thanks

It's fairly self-explanatory. You need to set the mirrors for your yum updates in yum.conf. The default ones are not allowed.

Thanks for your reply but it is not clear to me how to set up mirrors for yum update! (I am a novice Linux user as my comment shows). Where can find a step by step process to set the mirror up.

I used the command "yum update" which took about 30 minutes and seems to update everything. But I still get the orginal error message when trying "sh latest".
