Installation problem

I have been trying to install the latest version of cpanel for about 8 hours now. The site that it is trying to download mysql from is INSANELY SLOW. How can I make it download what it needs from somewhere else??

The server is on 100mbit connection.

It always hangs somewhere around here

Try the following:

rm -rf /root/.cpmysqlrpm
/scripts/mysqlup --force --verbose

That should recreate the mysql rpm mirror list and reinstall/install the latest MySQL for your server.

I have the same problem, did as you recommended and got the same error. What can be the reason?

Yeh, me too... mysql update keeps running out of mirrors, even after resetting the mirror list.

Seems nobody has this file that mysqlup is trying to get:

MySQL-shared-4.1.13-0.i386.rpm

Any suggestions?

here is a solution (use at your own risk) update cpanel to edge and you will get mysql 4.1.18 which will install fine.

or you can go here and download the rpm manually
