    Default Installing pdo_pgsql

    Hello all,
I am attempting to install pdo_pgsql for one of my clients.

I am not seeing any options in easy apache, so I took the step to try and install with

    Code:
    pecl install pdo_pgsql
which fails with the following error:

    Code:
    Zend Module Api No: 20060613
    Zend Extension Api No: 220060519
    /usr/local/bin/phpize: /tmp/pear/cache/PDO-1.0.3/build/shtool: /bin/sh: bad interpreter: Permission denied
Cannot find autoconf. Please check your autoconf installation and the $PHP_AUTOCONF
environment variable is set correctly and then rerun this script.
    /tmp is executable.

Autoconf is installed and version 1.9

    Any advice?

    Thanks.

are you sure /tmp is executable? as thats the exact same error you get when its noexec

    ls -la /
    drwxrwxrwx 7 root root 3072 Jun 27 12:55 tmp

I changed it to be executable and the pecl install still does not seem to work.

thats because it will be mounted noexec rather than just have its permissions changed (check your fstab)

The easiest way to get around this without remounting is to symlink /tmp/pear and /tmp/pear-build-root to say ~/ so that it can compile.
