The Cpanel tech who looked into it said this:
"It looks like it works fine with 5.5.7". I think they downgraded it from what we were running.

Why do they reply to you and not to me :-S
is there a fix to this interchange problem?
Cpanel support fixed it for me.
So is this the only fix they have for this problem? rolling perl back a version? That's seems pretty lame to me![]()
Cpanel support says:
Upgrading perl to 5.8.1 and installing the SQL::Statement perl module if it is missing generally fixes this type of issue.
ok sorry to sound dumb but how do i upgrade perl?
I also am having the following error...
We're sorry, the Interchange server is unavailable...
We are out of service or may be experiencing high system demand. Please try again soon.
nterchange problems
We had the same problem. Since it listed Redhat, we even tried that solution for an OS. All attempts failed. Upon further research we came accross the following:

Ok, so I have updated Interchange, installed/updated...
SQL::Statement
IO::stringy
vi'd interchange.cfg
Already had Inet_Mode Yes as last line. Added Unix_Mode Yes above it.
I have also removed being those are the default with the same effect.
Ran
/scripts/fixheaders
/scripts/fixinterchange
/scripts/fixinterchangeperm
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/startinterchange
If I perform....
killall -9 interchange
/usr/local/cpanel/bin/startinterchange
I receive...

Configuring catalog maxlux...Using default DBM database...Alias /~maxlux/cgi-bin/cart.cgi used a second time, skipping.

cat /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/interchange/error.log
produces nothing visible

Also tried...
/scripts/rebuildinterchange
/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/interchange/bin/restartpts/rebuildinterchange
