Default This is interesting...But need help!

I bought a dedicated a few days ago...The server is excellent. But after I got everything transfered and I logged into the root WHM I get the error at the top where News goes and it is:

[an error or timeout occurred while processing this directive]Unable to fetch Web Host Manager Security News. The News server may be down or unreachable.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this minor problem, Thanks.

Do you have any firewall running on the server and could it be blocking some ports that are needed?

Are you sure that's the case? I'm not getting any problems with any part of WHM displaying. If any of Cpanel's servers were down I'd expect this to be a global issue.

I'm quite certain it is, but I don't know for sure yet. If it's not fixed within 24 hours I'll let you know.

cPanel's server certainly isn't down now and I've not noticed it down. The most common reasons for that page not showing are:

    1. As mentioned, innappropriate ports are blocked

    or most commonly:

    2. /etc/resolv.conf has not been correctly configured with valid workin DNS resolvers
