Internal SSL Certs longer than 30 days
Anyone have any idea where the expiration timeframe can be changed for the internally generated certificates for clients via WHM? It is defaulting to 30 days, and for some of the customers we have doing their SSL testing, we'd like it to be longer as the 'expired' pop-ups are quite annoying while you are trying to do testing.
And to be clear, these are the internal certs generated for customers (via the Generate an SSL Certificate and Signing Request link), not the ones for WHM/CP.

www.ev1servers.net offers a $10 chained ssl certificate from Geotrust, cant beat that. Or they offer their QuickSSL product for $25. Can't beat that either. I've had no problems with either product but recommend the QuickSSL if you're going to be doing credit card transactions. I use Chained just to encrypt passwords.
What does that have to do with the question being asked?!?! It's just a blatent advertisement and hopefully the moderators will purge it as it doesn't belong here.
Sorry that you saw it as that, but I guess I didn't read the entire thread. What would I have to gain from it? I do not work at ev1. $10 is nothing so I thought it may help you, sorry for trying to help. How does a recommendation equate advertising? I'm talking from personal experience not like I have anything to gain from you buying one or not.

The cPanel moderators have established the no-advertising rule. I'm just pointing that out and know that others will get quite pissy if they allow it to stay (it's one of those, "we'll if they can do it, why can't I?" type of scenarios). Again, how is it advertising as I do not work or have interests in the company mentioned above? There is a difference between a recommendation and "blatent (it's blatant)" advertising.
Robert88, the point is that the information you provided is for a service & price, only available to people that have an account with EVI. That is why it's looked at as advertising.

So clearly in fact, more than a few us missed seeing that.
field, as you were having the same problem as the thread starter, why don't you mention, if the EVI SSL solved your problem or do you still have it?

Signing up for a commercial cert doesn't solve the problem addressed in the initial question. All we need to know is where WHM sets the value to 30 days for the internally generated certs so that the value can be modified.Originally posted by Website Rob
