Is there an intuitive way to upgrade the invision board that is installed automatically by cpanel? (i.e. not upgrade something already there, but have what is installed automatically be the latest version)

Also, it would be very handy if CPanel offered a way to upgrade the software that is already installed on a website.
That would be handy, but with all the probably mods of some of the installed programs I'd think it would open up a huge can of worms.Originally posted by btwatts

So, what we're saying is that we are free to have cPanel install stuff on our behalf, but the maintenance of those softwares are on our heads.
Suddenly the availability of the software to my novice users isn't such a blessing.
Is there another way to solve this besides going through every website I host and fixing them?

1) Don't offer them to begin with.
2) Update them for free.
3) State plainly that you don't support the 3rd party scripts, but offer to do regular script updates for a predetermined fee.
