If we enter an IP address in IP Deny Manager inside cPanel, does this mean users from that IP address will be denied access to our website?

1. How long will this ban last? Is there a time limit?

2. What error message will these users see?

The ban will last until you remove it. Be very careful not to add your own IP address .

You wont even be able to get an Apache error message, to them it will appear as if your website is down.

So would this be a preferred method than adding an IP to APF? I have read that the default method for APF will remove a banned IP in 24 hours unless specified. Of course, cPanel is for accounts and APF would cover server wide I assume?
