IPLess account logins?

I have a user that has an IPLess account (Shared IP) and he wants to test some scripts before he changed dns from his old site. I can't for the life of me find out what he needs to do to acces shis account. I THOUGHT is was http://ipaddress/~username

Am I nuts or just doing it wrong?

A lot of scripts won't execute properly from redirect or the few I have tried, but it is http://ipaddress/~user/ (remember the following slash).
