Issues with ini_set.

Hello,

We are currently having an issue with 2 servers that we own. In our php.ini file we have "ini_set" in the list of disabled functions. Everything is good, noone can overwirte any of our settings and do any danage to the servers.

We are getting reports that joomla and several other software refuse to work as that function is disabled.

Now I know the fix for this issue is to take ini_set out of the list of disable function but that brings up a new issue. The new issue is that our users can then change any settings (including menory) and many other settings.

Does anyone know how we can have ini_set open but only allow some php settings to be changed?

Hello

I suggest using suPHP as your default handler for PHP if you do not already do so. Once suPHP is enabled, you can follow the steps from the following thread to limit a user's ability to make PHP configuration changes:
