Well, if your scripting skills are up to it, you could write a little script that does the change and tack it on to the end of wwwacct script.

Unfortunatly I cannot remember if or how you can tell Linux to use a different shell for new users added.

Any Linux gurus want to jump in? Can you change the linux default shell on new useradds ?

    Thanks juanra -

Well cpanel is not using that when creating users, so, that means S.O.L. and back to manually changing shells.

Considering how much tearing apart I've done of cpanel, I am surprised I never saw that.

But did have to make me hunt for it?

Thanks for the tip Juanra, exactly what I was trying to find

Of course, I should have guessed it was going to get reverted back to default after /scripts/upcp ran last night, so hopefully setting chattr +i on it should prevent that....

I'll assume there's not going to be any major changes to /scripts/realadduser anytime in the near future

Nick's post was immediately after one about .bashrc/profiles. Does anyone know if this issue has been resolved?

I've got a lot of people that I converted over the jailshell and now they're all pissed their profiles aren't loading automatically.
