JDK based payment gateway set up

I am trying to help a client meet technical requirements for a payment gateway service. Here is the list provided by the gateway provider:

1. Operating System: Linux*
2. Web/Application Server: Any Web/Application Server that supports PHP
3. The server should have a Public IP(LIVE)
4. Java Development Kit version 1.4.2 or newer
5. PHP-Java bridge setup
6. Port 80 & 443 must be enabled for Payment Gateway transactions

I have the following questions about items 4 and 5 on the list:
  • Does this first require the installation of Tomcat on the cPanel VPS?
  • Is there a GUI through which JDK can be installed for this client's account alone?
  • Can PHP-Java bridge be similarly set up through a GUI?
  • Does this require a separate server (VPS) for the client? My host advised me so as I already have 45 clients on the server on which this account resides.

Thanks in advance.

At this time, we do not have a GUI for setting up a PHP-Java bridge.

As for installing JDK without Tomcat, you can use the Install a RPM feature in WHM, but that will install JDK for the server. It's not possible to install JDK just for a single user, that'd be like installing PHP for a single user.
