Kernel Update Needed For Centos 5

I am using cpanel My server runs with centos 5 With version 2.6.18-164.2.1.el5.plus

Does i need to keep updating kernal updates always for the server ?

If so how i can update automatically ?

Yes you will have to do it each time a new kernel is released,

And doing kernel upgrade automatic is foolish.

Also note that just installing it is not enough, you need to set it to use that kernel on boot and then also reboot.
