Killing the Chat Services

When restarting Cpanel I see

Starting Cpanel3 Chat services: [ OK ]
Starting Melange Chat services: [ OK ]

I didn\'t realize there were chat services running at all times. I don\'t allow chat on the servers so how do I shut these 2 services down perminantly?

Seems there was a post on disabling services like this that bdraco commented on..... you create a file like \"melange.disabled\" somewhere.

And/or my favorite is to chmod zeros to the actual melange binary at /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/bin/melange (Or similar?, didn\'t look close just now).... and then make it immutable with \"chattr +i melange\" , or whatever filename it is.
