Default latest upgrade screwed up httpd.conf

    Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has experienced this. The latest upgrade screwed up my htttpd.conf. The script aliases that pointed to cpanel, cgi-sys, etc. were missing and there were accounts also missing for some reason.

If you've experienced this before do you know what exactly went wrong during the upgrade process?

I experienced this once before, less than 1 month ago. We have 75 accounts missing from httpd.conf and listing the sites from WHM also revealed that we were missing 75 sites from the list of websites. Thank god i had a backup. Always always backup your httpd.conf before running any kind of update. I learnt the hard way and i was quite angry about the whole thing.

Yes, us too...But only when we edited our packages, not a upgrade itself...But we also always backup the httpd.conf files now before hand.

cpanel auto backs up the httpd.conf.
Yes, we tried it only once and the file was corrupted. We always make a backup now before hand, just incase.

Thanks, I'm backing up httpd.conf before any cpanel updates or mods. Even a recent backup httpd.conf can be a problem with new domains that were added.
