Default Less hosts supporting cPanel on FreeBSD

Its seems as though less and less hosting companies are supporting cPanel on FreeBSD. They claim its buggy, however my own experience doesn't hold true to that. I have ran cPanel on 4.10, 5.4, and most recently 6.2 without any major issues nor buggy-ness. I used to be at thePlanet and they supported me on 5.4, and recently talks with them indicate they no longer support it at all. Softlayer is another large host that doesn't touch cPanel on FreeBSD. Anyone know why this is seems to be a growing trend? Maybe someone from cpanel can clarify how solid they feel their system is on freebsd?
