by restricting ls, cd, mkdir, and etc... why do you want to offer SSH?

without those commands SSH is not required nor useful.
Simply disable SSH access to your clients

If you call bash as rbash then it becomes restricted shell.

Check out man bash for details.

Is there a way to restrict a user to only their home directory for SSH? This way, they can't go around a browse other people's directories.

I am also looking for the answer to this question... how do I restrict SSH so that users are kept inside their home directory?

Is the solution to enable Jailshell ?

Thanks for any help you can provide to this newbie!

yes, however this is not retroactive, so you have
to manually change it for the existing users.
