    Exclamation Linux Proxy Servers

    Hey Guys,
Just wanted to know, if anyone knows if there are any proxy daemons around.
Im looking for a proxy daemon that supports authentication, pref http and socks (v4 or 5).

    Thanks guys

P.S The reason for this is, im sick of using public proxies that are normally online for less than a week.

Squid should do it and is the most common on the Linux platform: http://www.squid-cache.org/ should be installable by rpm if you're using an RH derived OS.

But does squid have username / password authentication?

    Because my IP is dynamic.

    Thanks

Your best bet would be to read through the Squid documentation, available from thw Squid website.
