    Default localhost ftp sessions

    Anyone know what process in cpanel can generate those logs?

    In /var/log/messages

    Mar 27 09:27:26 hostname proftpd[4194]: hostname.server.com (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - FTP session opened.
    Mar 27 09:27:26 hostname proftpd[4194]: hostname.server.com (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - FTP session closed.
    Mar 27 09:32:27 hostname proftpd[6651]: hostname.server.com (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - FTP session opened.
    Mar 27 09:32:27 hostname proftpd[6651]: hostname.server.com (127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]) - FTP session closed.
    And can i make more vervosed?

    These are caused by chkservd, cpanel's service monitoring system. That is just cpanel ensuring that proftpd is actually running.
