    Default log files

I am getting a server monitor message:
    Drive Warning: /hda3 (/var) is 83% full

I have some really large log files. i deleted a couple, thinking they would be recreated auotmatically as the server tried to write to them. They weren't. OK, dumb.

Is there a list of common log files that should be in there? Mostly exim related.

I'd like to delete others, as well. If I just recreate new, empty files with the same name will that work?

As a general rule, when deleting log files you need to restart the service that uses it to recreate new ones. Restarting exim should put things back to normal.

I tried that. I couldn't see any change. Hmm.
