Default "logged in with the reseller or root password'

    to all,

i have reseller hosting with cpanel installed and when i try to go to one of my "resold" domains, via whm to install some fantastico de luxe scripts on the said domain, it says "Warning! You are logged in with the reseller or root password".

i cannot install the myPHP script, any ideas why?

most of my resold domains i host are like this except one or 2, and i have no idea why these 2 are different.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Andi

If you are going to use Fantastico in a client's cPanel, then you must login to his cPanel account directly using his password. Just go to domain.com:2083 and type in the username and password.

Default Warning! You are logged in with the reseller or root password

i know its a few months later but still having problems with this.. one of my accounts on my seller list simply will not let me do anything as it says:

    Notices
Warning! You are logged in with the reseller or root password

i am not! i have logged in to www.domain.co.uk/cpanel and used its own username and password..

    any ideas?

Is the password the same as that of the reseller that owns that account, or the root user?

You could simply change the root password and leave the user's alone:

WHM Main >> Server Configuration >> Change Root Password

Or you could change the user's password:

WHM Main >> Account Information >> List Accounts
Locate the account and click on the tiny '+' sign next to the domain name.

    -or-

WHM Main >> Account Functions >> Password Modification
Type the new password then click the account name you'd like to modify.

    -or-

    User's cPanel >> Change Password
Provide old password and new password + confirm new password.

You're welcome, mate. And as for learning something everyday, I certainly agree with you. This forum, and especially David Grega's posts, have provided a wealth of information.
