ls command - high cpu

Hi,

13675 removed 0 33.5 0.6 ls
13670 removed 0 32.5 0.6 ls
13644 removed 0 32.2 0.6 ls

I killed the processes but why would this happen ? I checked the account for dodgy files, nothing unusual.

Im baffled.

Any ideas ?

Next time, when you're in top hit the c button to get the full command line. You can also check what the process environment is by looking in the various files insde /proc/PID/* you can also check what files the PID has open using:

lsof | grep PID
