Hi,

Is it possible to setup a URL to allow users to access their webmail without having to use the rather unfriendly port suffix?

something like mail.domain.co.uk would be ideal, just now this shows a messgae saying there is now website configured at this address, though www.domain.co.uk does go directly to the users website.

Also I need the URL to go directly to the webmail, and not do any redirecting as some of my users are having firewall issues with blocked ports.

In which case http://cpanelproxy.net/ should be the answer.

This allows access to WHM, cPanel and webmail on port 80 (therefore getting round firewall issues).

The autoinstaller it provides also sets up whm.example.com, cpanel.example.com and webmail.example.com through which these services can be accessed.

You are also given the option of choosing any of the above three services to use with the proxy script.

have you tried http://yourdomain.com/webmail/ yet? It works on my servers.

yourdomain.com/webmail works if you have trouble remembering the correct port to use, but all it does is redirect you to the correct port. You still have to be able to access ports 2095 and 2096 from whereever you are.

If you actually want to access webmail on port 80 due to restrictions at work or school than you should use something like cpanelproxy, since it redirects everything through port 80.
