Default Mail Default Address :fail: message

Several of my accounts have the following set for the default address:

    :fail: no such address here

Until recently it worked fine, but at some point recently the custom bounce messages stopped working and now it just says:

"The recipient cannot be verified. Please check all recipients of this message to verify they are valid."

It's not a big deal but the custom bounce message was a nice feature, is there a way to fix it in exim.conf or whatever?

The default cPanel configuration doesn't use the text field after :fail: however you can fix this:
