Question Mail / Linux / bash question.......

What is the best option to avoid incomming spam?

    :blackhole: or :fail:

Blackhole seems that it would be the best because no response is sent to validate a MX server on the domain.

If you use fail they are getting a response from the domain and can try to hit it in another way.

Next what are the best online/book resources for Linux / bash / BIND / sendmail? I admin HP MPE/ix and Win NT systems, but this is different enough to warrent some serious new learning.

    Your help/opinions/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I would say :blackhole:, would be the best option because its does not send reponse the spammer does not aware of it, then if you have fail, your server related email might get removed from the spammer list. pick from the above
