    Default Mail queue time

    How can I tell the mail queue to discard or delete the messages that are let´s say 36 hours old so the queue doesn´t fills up?

    I saw a lot of messages on the queue that are more than 36 hours old, they were rejected because of viruses and not found boxes.

    Thank you

    In WHM's "Exim Configuration Editor" you can change how long mail sits in the queue by selecting the advanced editor and putting this in the first text box.

    timeout_frozen_after = 3d
    ignore_bounce_errors_after = 24h

    You don't want the timeout to be too short or some legitimate emails may get discarded.
