Mailbox for root locking.

Why do I get the error "Permission denied: creating lock file hitching post" when Exim tries to do a local delivery? Is this a permission thing?

Permission denied: creating lock file hitching post /root/mail/inbox.lock.mydomin.com.

I see the above in exim_mainlog and all of my locate deliveries to root@myhost.com are not being delivered.

6.2.0 E28 but we had this start at E11

You really should forward root's mail to some place you can get it. exim will never deliver mail as root for secuirty reasons

How do you mean? I havent touched anything. root@myhost.com was always being forwarded to me before now all of a sudden it reported as locked in exim_mainlog. What has changed?

In httpd.conf i also have root@myhostname.com as my server admin email as well as in where email gets sent to WHM.

How do i change this?
