Maill accounts disappearing

Hi all

Has enyone ever heard of all the mail accounts disappearing from a cPanel controlled server?

We have a dedicated server/

We have a PHP script that uses the cPanel scripts do create email accounts for subscribers. This is the only 'different ' element.

Could it have been a hack that allowed a script onto the machine that deleted all the mail accounts?

Any help would be appreciated

When a user goes over quota the email accounts disappear from the Cpanel list, if you increase the quota they reappear. Something to do with no space to write to disk. If it's not this then I don`t know what else it could be.
