Mailman list: only delivering to a few members

Hi,

This is a new installation of the latest cPanel/WHM.

A Mailman list has been setup with about 50 members. However, when a message is sent to the list, only the first half a dozen or so members actually receive the message.

Any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this please?

Yup..there is. The default installation is not well suited to send out mass mailing to exim and after consultation at exim site, they have a FAQ section about tuning the mailman to work with Exim to have it work properly.

Go to /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mailman/Mailman/ and edit the mm_cfg.py. Add those lines in as follows:

# Max recipients for each message
SMTP_MAX_RCPTS = 15
# Max messages sent in each SMTP connection
SMTP_MAX_SESSIONS_PER_CONNECTION = 30


Then restart mailman and it will have better handling on sending the emails for it.

Hi,

Well I added those lines to the config file and restarted Mailman, but it didn't work.

Can these lines go anywhere in that file or do they need to go in a specific place?
