mails sent are reaching the destination after a long delay

Dear all,

Around 12 hours i am facing a typical issue, that the mails sent are reaching the destination after a long delay (say 15 to 30 mins, some mails are taking 2 r 3 hrs) .

Even if we send mails to local domains, the same delay is there.

My server details
-------------------
Dual Xeon 2.4 GHz
1 GB DDR
RedHat Enterprise 3
WHM 10.6.0
cPanel 10.8.0-R58

My server has Chirpys mailscanner installed.

I have tried

1. ./scripts/fixeverything
2. ./scripts/exim4
3. ./scripts/eximup --force

nothing helped

Please advice me how to proceed further.

You should check your /var/log/maillog for information. You most likely have an email backlog for some reason that it is struggling to catch up with.
