I just updated my Perl version to 5.8.8 per the cPanel alert.
MailScanner is now broken and is displaying the following message in maillog:
MailScanner[4004]: WARNING: You are trying to use the SpamAssassin cache but your DBI and/or DBD::SQLite Perl modules are not properly installed!
MailScanner[4004]: ClamAV Perl module not found, did you install it?
MailScanner[4008]: MailScanner E-Mail Virus Scanner version 4.58.9 starting...
MailScanner[4008]: Config: calling custom init function MailWatchLogging
MailScanner[4008]: Started SQL Logging child
Can anyone give me some guidence on how to repair this? I'm not really familiar with command line steps for installations.
thank you,
Tim
Since I have a ConfigServer installed MailScanner, I got the following information from their site to reinstall ClamAV.
/scripts/perlinstaller --force Compress::Raw::Zlib
/scripts/perlinstaller --force Scalar::Util Net::CIDR Archive::Zip Compress::Zlib Convert::BinHex Inline::C Time::HiRes Digest::SHA1 IO::Zlib Net::IP
/scripts/perlinstaller --force Mail::ClamAV
service MailScanner restart
After completing this step, Mailserver seems to be working now. However, all inbound mail is stuck in the queue. Outbound is working fortunately...
The ClamAV error no longer shows up on the maillog...but the "DBD::SQLite" message still occurs.
At this point I just need to get the mail flowing to the user mailboxes.
By the way... I'm still on FC2
